This is a reminder regarding an important upcoming date.

Thursday, September 26th, 2024 (the first day of instruction for Fall 2024) is the last day for International PhD students to take their oral qualifying exam** and qualify for reduced Nonresident Supplemental Tuition (NRT) for Fall 2024. Students can take the exam on Thursday the 26th and still qualify. Exams taken on September 27th or after will not qualify.

**Taking the oral qualifying exam does not guarantee advancement to candidacy. Students must also have completed all other requirements for the degree except the defense and dissertation.

The student’s degree audit must also be reviewed at this time. If all required items are not checking off on the audit, the student’s advancement will be delayed.
