[Bphystudent] New Student Services Advisor for Biophysics

Dear Biophysics Community -

I am pleased to announce that Christopher Brown has joined the CNAS Graduate Student Affairs Center and will serve as the new Student Services Advisor for Biophysics, effective immediately.

Christopher comes with a plethora of experience in student advising and development. Chris began his career in the nonprofit sector working with Bright Prospect as an Academic Advisor and Program Coordinator. After two years of service, he was moved into the role of a Senior Program Manager and acted as the interim Program Director. After five years of working with 9th grade-undergraduate students, he transitioned to a Program Coordinator role at Azuza Pacific University. There, he managed two doctoral programs as the Doctoral Program Coordinator. Following his two years of service, he returned to working with 9-12th grade students with the Early Academic Outreach Program here at UCR, where he advised high school students.

During this initial period, I will be working closely with Christopher to help him transition smoothly into his new role and become comfortable with the program's processes and responsibilities.
