Subject: 2022 Delta Science Fellowship Opportunity to share with UC Riverside students

Dear Dr. Daniel Hirmas, Dr. David Volz, Dr. Leonard Nunney, Dr. Emma Aronson, Dr. Fidel Rivas,

We are reaching out to share an opportunity for your students searching for graduate and post-graduate fellowship opportunities: the 2022 Delta Science Fellowship is now open for applications (full details can be found here<https://caseagrant.ucsd.edu/fellowships/delta-science-fellowship>). This fellowship funds research projects of up to two years in duration (2022-2024 academic years) that will advance the state of knowledge underlying high priority science issues that affect the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta) and its management as an integrated socio-ecological system.

California Sea Grant and the Delta Science Program will host an informational webinar on February 7th from 10:30AM - 12:00PM PST (register here<https://ucsd.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_5CrQw1Y4Qc2Zuiv9RgLZuA>). Applicants must submit a Notice of Intent by February 28th, 2022 in order to submit a full application (due April 20th, 2022) for this opportunity. We would appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity broadly with your graduate program and other colleagues working in the biophysical or social sciences with relevance to Delta science and the 2022-2026 Science Action Agenda Management Needs<https://caseagrant.ucsd.edu/sites/default/files/Appendix_A_2022_2026_SAA_Draft.pdf>. For the purposes of this request for applications (RFA), biophysical science refers to biological, chemical, and/or physical science. Please visit our RFA for more information: https://caseagrant.ucsd.edu/fellowships/delta-science-fellowship.

Respectfully,

Lian Guo, PhD
