[Bphyfaculty] Nomination of Qualifying Examination BPHY

-This Message is for all Continuing Grad Students and Faculty

Good Morning Students,

I have received many questions regarding this policy, and I want to make sure everyone is aware on how to proceed. You must submit your Nomination of Oral Qualifying Examination Committee to Grad Division at minimum 2 weeks prior to your examination date, via R'grad. If possible, a month's time is preferable. You must also receive approval from the Grad Division before you take your examination. Afterwards you have 48 hours to report your examination results to get credit for your exam.

When nominating your examination committee, you must choose 5 members. A link of the faculty website can be found here<https://biophysics.ucr.edu/people/faculty>. You are not allowed to have your PI to serve on your committee. Your fifth member is not allowed to be apart of your program faculty. If you fail to follow these instructions your examination will be void and you will need to retake your examination. Please review the Grad Division website<https://graduate.ucr.edu/regulations-and-procedures#nomination-for-qualifying-exam> as you are bound to any policy changes of the University when it comes to examination procedures. It can also be found in your student handbooks.
