Dear All,

The message below went to selected students in CNAS today.  Major Professors will start to receive notifications as their students apply and can either approve them immediately or wait until the application closes on 05/03/2024.


  *   Major Professors will have an additional week through 05/10/2024 to review and approve applications.
  *   Applications without Major Professor approval will not be visible to instructors when they review applications in May.


You are welcome to forward the TA application open message to your students in other majors.

Subject: [EGSA] TA Application Open Fall Term

Dear selected CNAS Graduate Students,

The Fall 2024 TA application for courses in the life sciences (BCH, BIOL, BPSC, CBNS, ENTM, MCBL) is now open!  You must submit an application between 4/22/2024-5/3/2024 to be considered.

The deadline to submit an application is Friday, May 3, 2024. The system will close at 11:59pm on 5/3/2024.

Please logon to http://taonline.ucr.edu to submit your application as soon as possible!

During this opening, you may list requested classes for every term of 2024-2025; however, you are still required to log in, review/update your request list, and re-submit your application during each quarter application period. You will be notified of Winter and Spring re-opening later in the year.

Please note these important points:


  *   If you do not request a class for Fall 2024, you will not appear on the list of potential TAs for the class.  Neither the instructors nor the TAAC members can see your application and you are unlikely to be appointed.



  *   It is also important to request all classes for which you are qualified when completing your application.  Listing more courses in your request list ensures that more instructors and Departments see your application.



  *   Applicants without a degree in one of the life sciences are not likely to meet the qualifications for CNAS Life Science classes.
