Dear All,



The message below went to selected students in CNAS today.  Major Professors will start to receive notifications as their students apply and can either approve them immediately or wait until the application closes on 12/8/2023.



  *   Major Professors will have an additional week through 12/15/2023 to review and approve applications.
  *   Applications without Major Professor approval will not be visible to instructors when they review applications in January.



You are welcome to forward the TA application open message to your students in other majors.

Subject: TA Application Open Spring Term

Dear selected CNAS Graduate Students,



The Spring 2024 TA application for courses in the life sciences (BCH, BIOL, BPSC, CBNS, ENTM, MCBL) is now open!  You must submit an application between 11/27/2023-12/8/2023 to be considered.



The deadline to submit an application is Friday, December 8, 2023. The system will close at 11:59pm on 12/8/2023.



Please logon to http://taonline.ucr.edu to submit your application as soon as possible!




Please note these important points:



  *   If you do not request a class for Spring 2024, you will not appear on the list of potential TAs for the class.  Neither the instructors nor the TAAC members can see your application and you are unlikely to be appointed.



  *   It is also important to request all classes for which you are qualified when completing your application.  Listing more courses in your request list ensures that more instructors and Departments see your application.



  *   Applicants without a degree in one of the life sciences are not likely to meet the qualifications for CNAS Life Science classes.
