[Bphyfaculty] Reminder: 2023-2024 Graduate Division Awards - DYP, GRMP, HSI-DD: BPHY deadline 1/15/23.

Dear BPHY, Graduate Students,

The BPHY deadline to apply for these awards is January 15, 2023.
We recommend that you submit the application as soon as possible; the request for letters of recommendation won't be sent to recommenders until the application is submitted. Make sure to communicate with your recommenders in advance.

It is that time of the year to prepare and submit your applications for GRMP and DYP fellowships. These competitive fellowships support Ph.D. students for between 1 and 3 quarters of stipend and tuition. Applications are reviewed by faculty on Graduate Council. In addition, the BPHY program has a guaranteed number of quarters of either GRMP or DYP to distribute. The BPHY Awards Committee reviews these.

Please use the same application to be considered for both the competitive campus-wide awards and the department awards. You do not need to submit multiple applications unless you want to be considered for multiple awards (e.g. DYP and HSI-DD). All applicants are reviewed first for submission for the campus-wide awards and then ranked for the department awards.

All applications require a research statement, a diversity statement, and 2 letters of recommendation.

Increases to the DYP stipend have been made this year in line with the current TA salary.
