Hello BPHY Graduate Students and BPHY Faculty,

It is time for BPHY graduate students to plan and complete their Annual Progress Report. A face-to-face meeting with the guidance committee is highly recommended, so that the student can discuss the research progress and graduation plan with the committee and obtain advice on their performance. The annual progress report must be completed after the meeting or progress discussion.

Starting this year (2022), submission of the Student Annual Progress Report will be done online (hard copy is no longer required).

Here is the process:

  1. Graduate students will schedule their annual committee meetings with their guidance committees. The student must complete a 2-5 page summary of their research progress and send a copy to their guidance committee before their meeting. Upon completing your meeting or research progress discussion with your guidance committee, you must complete the Student Annual Progress Report form (see the link below) and attach a PDF copy of your research progress report.
     * Link to the APR form: https://na3.docusign.net/Member/PowerFormSigning.aspx?PowerFormId=d367261a-6773-4206-8e9e-f71eb8bc521a&env=na3&acct=662bc3a1-ffe6-496e-b95c-f9ce7808bd42&v=2
  2. Faculty, at the end of your committee meeting, the graduate student will submit a Student Annual Progress Report. All signing processes have moved to online (using DocuSign). The student's major professor/guidance committee chair will select the student's overall progress and enter the guidance committee's comments. All guidance committee members, including the graduate advisor, will print their name and sign the annual progress report.

  1. Once the student, guidance committee members and graduate advisor sign the form, the student services advisor will receive a copy of the report to be filed with Graduate Division.

The Annual Progress Reports must be filed by September 23rd.

Sincerely,

Fidel Rivas
