Dear Selected CNAS Faculty,

Graduate students in life sciences majors got the e-mail below alerting them that the TA Application is open for Fall 2022.  We anticipate continued increased need for TAs so please encourage any interested students to apply.  The program accepts applications from CNAS majors, non-CNAS majors and MS students. If you need more information about TAAC policies regarding prioritization of applications and the TA selection process, you can find materials on the front page of https://taonline.ucr.edu .

Major Professors will receive an e-mail when your students apply and will need to approve the application by May 6, 2022 at the latest.

Dear selected CNAS Graduate Students,

The Fall 2022 TA application for courses in the life sciences (BCH, BIOL, BPSC, CBNS, ENTM, MCBL) is now available! The deadline to submit an application is Friday, April 29, 2022. The system will shut down at 11:59pm on 04/29/2022.

Please logon to http://taonline.ucr.edu to submit your application as soon as possible!

During this opening, you may request classes for every term of 2022-23; however, you are still required to log in, review/update your request list, and re-submit your application every quarter. You will be notified of the Winter and Spring re-opening later in the year and you can check the expected date now on the TA Online Calendar on the front page of the system.

We recently had some trouble with students submitting an application with no requested classes.


*         If you do not request a class for Fall 2022, you will not appear on the list of potential TAs for the class.  Neither the instructors nor the TAAC members can see your application and you are unlikely to be appointed.


*         It is also important to request all classes for which you are qualified when completing your application.  Listing more courses in your request list ensures that more instructors and Departments see your application.

Attached are some tips and information to help you in completing your application.  If you have any concerns, please feel free to schedule an appointment at the link below.  I also have scheduled Zoom Office Drop-In hours on Tuesdays, 9:30-10:30am (link also below).
