[Botanygraduatestudents] Today: Early Career Scientist Symposium Keynote Speaker

Hi Everyone,
I hope your quarter is ending well! Just wanted to advertise that Dr. Maria
Elena Zavala (Professor of Biology, California State University Northridge)
will be giving the second keynote today around *2:15 pm in the Genomics
Auditorium*. I met Dr. Zavala recently at a conference where she spoke
about her research and experiences being the first Mexican-American woman
to earn her PhD in Botany from UC Berkeley. I was really inspired by her
talk and hope you can make time to attend her seminar despite the change in
schedule. Her talk is titled: “A Radicle Approach: To Train the Next
Generation of Scientists.”
