Abstract: Worldwide large-scale cancer genome sequencing efforts have identified recurrent RNA splicing factor mutations in multiple types of cancer including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). All these mutations cause genome-wide aberrant RNA splicing, raising up a question on how RNA splicing dysregulation contributes to cancer biology. Using CLL as a disease model, I will discuss our strategies used to discover impacts of splicing factor mutation on leukemogenesis as well as our understanding on how RNA epigenetics regulates splicing.
