The 12th Southern California Eukaryotic Pathogen symposium will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, IN-PERSON!

Our keynote speaker this year is Jude Uzonna<https://umanitoba.ca/medicine/faculty-staff/jude-uzonna>, Professor of Immunology and Microbiology and the Associate Dean of Research at the University of Manitoba.
Jude is our first Leishmania keynote speaker and specializes in the generation of immunity and the development of vaccines to Leishmania. Presentation title: "Immunologic memory in parasitic infections may need constant reminding: a paradigm change?"

We will also welcome Associate Professor, Michael Reese<https://profiles.utsouthwestern.edu/profile/145873/michael-reese.html> from UT Southwestern who will give the morning invited talk and speak about CryoEM and his studies on Toxoplasma. Presentation title: "Using cryo-electron tomography to define the in situ structure the apicomplexan invasion machinery".


The event will culminate with a special reception including networking opportunities and posters! Prizes will be given for the best poster presentations!
