Dear Dr. Wilson,

As a past ABRCMS judge, you can appreciate the importance of students presenting research to develop their skillset as scientists. At the in-person ABRCMS, there are abstract eligibility requirements that restrict some students who could benefit from participation in ABRCMS. To address this, ABRCMS is launching the ABRCMS ePoster Spring Symposium for Emerging Scientists<https://abrcms.org/index.php/symposium-home> for selected high school students (who’ve conducted formalized research), community college students and first-year undergraduates to present research in one of the 12 ABRCMS disciplines<https://abrcms.org/index.php/present-at-abrcms/scientific-disciplines>.

In addition, we want to promote the professional development of early-career scientists by encouraging graduate students and postdoctoral scientists to sign up to be abstract reviewers<https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=A2vijUeuKEq5zU0LQALVn1U0BhJJb1FBin8n0uOgeMhUMVZZN1lMTTdaMjBTUDQ3WFc2SDVVODVFRC4u> and judges<https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=A2vijUeuKEq5zU0LQALVn1U0BhJJb1FBin8n0uOgeMhUOE5UUVRON002OUJHTDNVVUxLTjY4TDJDOS4u> (although all active researchers are eligible to volunteer).

Would you be able to pass along these opportunities to your students and communities?

Please note: ABRCMS 2022<https://abrcms.org/> is scheduled to take place Nov. 9-12 in Anaheim, CA. Additional details will be available Spring 2022.

We greatly appreciate your support in helping us make STEM truly diverse and welcoming.

Best wishes,

Leah Dixon
