New hybrid schedule as of September 2021: Available in-person on campus Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. I will be available remotely on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00AM-4:30PM.

We have changes and additions. Please see below.

The Latinx Medical Student Association (LMSA) would like to invite you all to see UCR SOM Dia de los Muertos altar!

  *   The altar will be presented on Friday, October 29th at 12 PM. The altar will sit on the SOM Education Building Courtyard on Friday.
  *   Afterwards, you may see the altar until November 2nd in the SOM Education Building Lobby.
  *   On November 3rd, please feel free to join LMSA and the campus community to witness Chicano Student Programs’ Dia de los Muertos Celebration and Blessing of the altar (see attached PNG).
     *   Location: UCR Bell Tower
     *   Time: 1130 AM – 2 PM
Halloween Fun

  *   Join the virtual costume contest! Pets encouraged!
     *   Submit photos to hsant003 at ucr.edu<mailto:hsant003 at ucr.edu> by Monday, November 1st 12 PM.
     *   See pdf for categories
  *   Are you on campus Friday, October 29th?
     *   Wear your costume and stop by the SOM Education Building courtyard (11AM – 1PM) and Admissions Suite (9AM-4PM) for some trick or treat!
     *   Join the Dia de los Muertos Ceremony at 12 PM!
     *   Play some ping pong in costume!
     *   Raffles and prizes for virtual costume contest!
  *   Can’t stop by for some candy or join the costume contest?
     *   Complete our attached PDF games to enter the raffles!
     *   Send to hsant003 at ucr.edu<mailto:hsant003 at ucr.edu>, not later than midday on Monday, November 1st!

This is your H.O.P.E. (Hematology, Oncology, Palliative, and End of Life Care) Leadership Team reminding you all that OCTOBER is BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!!! ❤



In honor of those whose lives and loved ones have been touched by breast cancer, and in support of those strong individuals who are currently going through the fight we are having PINK OUT day at the School of Medicine, you can pick up a pink ribbon pin and encourage everyone to wear pink to stand in solidarity. This is open to all students, administrators, and faculty who will be on campus this Friday! We know that it is also Halloween vibes for another event– so feel free to mix and match both themes. [🎃]



WHEN: This FRIDAY, 10/29/2021 12PM-1PM (right after MS2 CBL!)

WHERE: School of Medicine Courtyard (come by our table ❤)

WHAT TO DO: Wear PINK to campus! Stop by the table to get a free pink ribbon pin, courage/hope bracelets, pink snacks (while supplies last!), and more 😊
