Hi everyone,
This notice is the first of two, and only addresses the shutdown on Tues May 30.  The south wing (Phase 1 space) will be without power from Tues 5/30 through June 3, the other spaces will be back on at 7:30 am.

There will be a 2nd notice about the second, longer, shutdown on Sat Jun 3.

Day 1 - Tuesday May 30

  *   6am shut down main power to Batchelor and Keen Hall (4hrs)
  *   10am reinstate power to Batchelor Hall main building and Keen Hall (Phase 1 spaces in Batchelor hall with remain off for 1 week)

Day 5 - Saturday Jun 3

  *   4am shut down and disconnect main feeds to Batchelor Hall and Keen hall (15hr shut down)
  *   8pm reinstate new main power to Batchelor and Keen Hall from generator yard

The contractor has a list of all equipment that will need generator power during the 15-hr shutdown.

WHAT TO EXPECT
There will be no power during these times. Electrical equipment, lights, and elevators will be impacted.
PURPOSE A power shutdown is required to replace electrical equipment and bring in new generator power for the Batchelor Hall construction project.

Occupants with sensitive research equipment should take the following precautions:
•         If you have sensitive research equipment or systems you know can be impacted by power interruption and you have not connected them to uninterrupted power devices (UPS) and surge protectors, please plan to disconnect and turn off equipment for the duration to avoid any damage.
