A friend of mine asked me to pass this on to people that may be interested.

Would you like to earn some extra money this summer, be able to add another
item to your CV, and help with tech development and research? If so, please
see the attached pdf for more information and where you can apply (Deadline
to apply Aug 1).   This is a part-time internship, it is paid, and you can
work part of the time from home.

*Info Summary:*
*What:* NSF-funded Technology Scouting Position via Inter University
Technology Building Program
*Location:* Southern California
*Employer:* Loma Linda University in partnership with Larta Institute (
http://www.larta.org/)
*Time*: minimum commitment of 4 hrs per week; they would like 10 hrs ideally
*Pay:* about $15/hr
*Start:* Early to Mid August
*End:* Early Fall
*Job Specifications:* B.A./B.S. preferred in any one of the following
technical areas: chemical sciences, electrical sciences, mechanical
sciences, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, computer and information
sciences, life sciences, physics, physical sciences and/or biotechnology.
Additionally, this role requires demonstrated skills in analytical and
critical thinking, interpersonal communication, work organization, the
ability to work independently and a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
in work habits.
