Dear all,
If anybody would like to meet tomorrow's Biology Colloquium speaker,
Dr Chris Wheat (Univ. Helsinki & Penn State), please contact me (andresls at ucr.edu
) to schedule a meeting. Dr. Wheat will be in Riverside on Thursday
afternoon and through the whole of Friday.
Chris Wheat is broadly interested in Ecological Geomics, among others
particular, the development of genomics tools for non-model species
(or better said, for ecological but not genomic model species), the
use of candidate genes to study evolution and phylogenomics. He has
worked on the genomics of a variety of ecological questions from
dispersal in butterfly meta-populations to butterfly-plant co-
evolution. For further information, you can visit his webpage (www.

Sincerely,
