Thanks to Everyone who voted in last month's GSA Elections.
   
  The results were certified yesterday and Biology is once again disproportionally represented in the upper echelons of the GSA.  Although we did not receive the necessary quorum to pass all of the ballot measures (420 votes), we got very close (~390 votes).  
   
  2007-2008 GSA Executive Board
  President: Alex Cortez (Biology)
  Executive Vice President: Louise Hendrickson (Political Science)
  Vice President for Academic Affairs: Erik Kolb* (Biology)
  Public Affairs Officer: Kristy Richardson (Env. Toxicology)
  GSHIP Chairperson: Laura Bellew (History)
   
  *Given that I was in a contested race, I'd like to personally thank each and every one of you for your vote!!! 
   
  Above are the elected positions in the GSA Executive Board.  
   
  In the next few months, we will begin reviewing applications for the appointed positions: Conference Travel Grant Coordinator, Academic Affairs Officers, International Student Affairs Officer, Legislative Liaison, Campus Organizing Director (some of which are PAID positions).
