Greetings,
This is a friendly reminder I'm reaching out on behalf of UC Riverside’s School of Medicine PRIME (Programs in Medical Education) initiative.
PRIME is a specialized medical education track that equips future physician leaders to serve underserved communities with compassion and cultural competence. At UCR, our PRIME program is specifically focused on mentorship, sponsorship, and support for students committed to advancing health equity within African, Black, and Caribbean (ABC) communities. To learn more, you can read about the program here: 👉 PRIME Program at UCR SOM<https://somnews.ucr.edu/articles/2022/03/24/prime-program-train-doctors-versed-needs-abc-community>
This summer, we are hosting a four-week Virtual Healthcare Advocacy Session starting in July. These 90-minute sessions will be led by our PRIME students and are designed to empower participants with the confidence and tools to navigate their healthcare experiences and build stronger relationships with healthcare providers.
Through interactive group discussions and a guided workbook, participants will engage in reflection, goal setting, and action planning—strengthening their ability to advocate for themselves and their communities.

Feel free to share this opportunity with others—community members are welcome, and participants will receive compensation for their time.
