Greetings BFASA,

Next Saturday, October 19th from 2p-5p the Black Voice News and regional members of the Divine 9 have joined together to host an unforgettable voter education forum that taps into the rich history of Black activism around voting, led by the historic Black fraternities and sororities of the Divine 9 in partnership with the Black Press.

This forum serves as both a celebration and a call to action, blending the cultural legacy of stepping with the urgent need for civic engagement. Organizations from UCR NPHC and University of La Verne will be performing in a step competition for a grand prize of $1000. In addition, inspiring remarks from Black Greek community leaders will highlight the enduring role that these organizations have played in championing civil rights and promoting voter participation throughout history.



The event will also provide crucial voter education information, ensuring that all participants leave empowered to make their voices heard at the polls. By honoring the past and energizing the present, Step-Up to the Polls 2024 aims to motivate the community, reinforcing the critical importance of voting as a means of enacting change and continuing the legacy of Black activism.
