Subject: Be the Match registry. My son
Hello BFASA,

My younger son has been battling with an aggressive form of Classical Hodgkin’s Lymphoma with an HLH type response for 18 months now. He will need a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to cure this devastating inflammatory response.
His last hospital stay lasted 50+ days with 2 weeks in the ICU on a ventilator. I am sharing these details with you so you can see the seriousness of his illness. You can read his story here- https://gofund.me/19ed1823


If you look at the attachment, you see his odds of finding a full match. The search pool is between the ages of 18-41, never pregnant and no serious illnesses.
I am asking if this can be shared with the BFASA community. I’m hoping some who are in this age range will be willing to test (a cheek swab test).
If he hasn’t found a match by the time Fall semester begins, I will be holding a drive to encourage students to test and register in the Be the Match Registry.
