Monday, October 12, 11am – Noon via Zoom

Join us in our virtual lounge for an in-depth discussion addressing anti-Blackness in the LGBTQ+ community with DoctorJonPaul.  With over 15 years of experience in education, social justice and grassroots movements, DoctorJonPaul is changing the way we discuss the issues queer/trans people face during Covid-19.  DoctorJonPaul will virtually facilitate a conversation meant to help people identify anti-Blackness and be able to address it in their daily lives.

This discussion will encourage non-Black queer people to recognize how their experiences of being queer are radically different than those of Black queer people. This discussion will bring awareness to the queer community about the erasure of Black voices, due to systemic racism.  DoctorJonPaul will also address how the LGBTQ+ community and Allies can work together to address anti-Blackness regardless of race, gender identity, gender expression or sexual orientation.
