[Bfasa-faculty] Winter Quarter 2022 Black Faculty Taught Courses

I hope that this email finds you in good spirits!

My name is Victor Moreira, and I’m one of the senior academic advisors in CHASS.  I’m working with Professor Jasmin Young from the Ethnic Studies Department, and we are putting together a list of courses being taught by Black faculty for the upcoming Winter quarter.  The list would then be shared with African Student Programs (ASP) so that they can distribute to the Black undergraduate population.  If you like your course to be shared on the list, please simply reply to Professor Young (jasminy at ucr.edu) and myself (victor.moreira at ucr.edu).  Include the course department, course number, and course title in your reply.

Please reply to us no later than Wednesday, October 27.  Registration for Winter begins on November 1, and we want to make sure that ASP has enough time to send the list out to the students.  If you have any questions, please let us know.  Please note that students will still need to meet any course prerequisites unless they receive specific permission to enroll from you directly to which they need to provide to their advisor for enrollment assistance.  Also note that students can’t enroll in a course that is full unless you provide permission to increase enrollment via email notification and approval from the appropriate enrollment manager is granted.
