*Description:* During the session, we will introduce the new Institute for
Spatial History Innovation (ISHI <https://ishi.pitt.edu/>) at the
University of Pittsburgh and its role in the Pelagios Place Working Group,
highlight recent developments in the World Historical Gazetteer (
https://whgazetteer.org/), and present and discuss new website
documentation that acknowledges gazetteer alignment as both a conceptual
and an infrastructural process.
