[ASA_PEWS] PEWS at the ASA Meeting

Dear PEWS Colleagues,

The ASA meeting starts in just a few days, and PEWS has a great line-up. Our section activities will be on Saturday and Sunday.

I have attached a list of our sessions, roundtables, and meetings. At the end of the attached file, you will also find a quick and easy guide to joining these events.

Of particular note, the PEWS business meeting will be on Saturday, August 7, from 2:30pm to 3:00pm (EDT). We will start promptly at 2:30pm because we have a lot to cover in just half an hour: brief reports from the chair, secretary-treasurer, and JWSR editor; PEWS award presentations; and the introduction of the new section officers. We hope you can join us to celebrate the award winners and welcome the section leaders.

The PEWS roundtable sessions will start immediately after the business meeting, from 3:00pm to 3:55pm. And, there is one panel session before the business meeting and one session after the roundtables. See the attached sheet for details on all of the PEWS sessions and meetings.

Lastly, I want to highlight a social event: The editorial team for the Journal of World-Systems Research will host virtual social event to discuss the journal and their vision for the next year. This event will be on Sunday evening from 7:30 to 9:00pm.
