Good Afternoon everyone,
As we wrap up Week 2, I want to take a moment to share a few important housekeeping reminders.
First, please continue to keep the graduate studio clean and organized. It's important that we all take responsibility for both our individual and shared spaces.
Project materials should be properly stored, and all trash and recycling should be disposed of in the designated bins.
Second, a reminder about the University's policy on alcohol. While department-sponsored events may include alcohol with the proper permits, it should not be stored or consumed in the studios outside of these approved occasions. Any leftover alcohol from an event should be reported to a staff member so we can coordinate its removal. Possessing alcohol on University property outside of an authorized event is a violation of UC's substance abuse policy. To avoid any issues, please do not bring or keep alcohol in the studios unless it's for a permitted (UCR Risk management approved), department-approved event. If you're planning such an event, please coordinate with Amir (Faculty Graduate Advisor) and Iselda to obtain the necessary alcohol use permit.
You can find the full policy here: UC Alcohol Policy<https://policyking.ucr.edu/home/policy/6539d1030ad0f868b8663710>
For our graduating students, Monica will be reaching out soon to schedule studio check-ins as we prepare for end-of-quarter transitions and studio turnover.
Thank you for your continued cooperation in keeping our studio environment respectful, professional, and productive.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Best,
Michael
