I am forwarding two reminders about funding opportunities from Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Mariam Lam:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">1. The UCR DEI Office must sign off on the UC-HSI DDI grant proposals (due Jan 29, 2021) (<a href="https://ucop.edu/graduate-studies/_files/uc-hsi-rfp-final.pdf">https://ucop.edu/graduate-studies/_files/uc-hsi-rfp-final.pdf</a>) and see
attached. VC Lam has requested not to wait to wait to the last minute to avoid rushing to get the signature.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">2. VC Lam has confirmed with UCOP that despite last year’s lack of federal HSI designation, UCR does qualify for these UC competitive grants.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">3. Faculty should be aware that if they complete their grant proposal drafts early, the UCR HSI Committee is happy to review and provide recommended edits (<a href="https://diversity.ucr.edu/hispanic-serving-institution-committee">https://diversity.ucr.edu/hispanic-serving-institution-committee</a>).<o:p></o:p></p>
