This Saturday, December 18th the California Citizens Redistricting Commission will finalize district maps regarding Inland Empire district boundaries (Riverside and San Bernardino counties) that directly affect UCR.  I write to forward and share information about the proposed redrawing and how you can get additional information and/or comment.

The draft map below illustrates the proposed California State Assembly district that UC Riverside will be placed in (AD63-SWRIV), which is separate from Downtown Riverside (AD58-JRC). The change would interrupt UCR's long standing partnership with the City of Riverside on housing and infrastructure, economic and workforce development, and educational initiatives.
