</u></b>Croda Consumer Care is looking for a highly motivated, qualified, and recent Ph.D. recipient to join their group through the new Graduate Trainee program. The qualified candidate will work on projects involving development of new ingredients used in
home and personal care applications. The primary responsibilities and qualifications for this role is given below. This role will be for a period of three years, with possibility of being absorbed full time within Croda R&D (in North America) at the completion
of the program. This role will provide opportunities for the trainee to work on high impact global projects, build network and also provide exposure to the fast paced, results driven and rewarding industrial culture.<br>
<br>
<strong><u><span style="font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">Responsibilities</span></u></strong><b><u><br>
<br>
</u></b>Work with the New Product Development team to develop new biobased / biotech derived ingredients for use in personal care applications<br>
<br>
Conduct derivatization and modifications of biobased materials such as biopolymers, lipids, proteins<br>
<br>
Exercise basic technical discretion to troubleshoot experiments.<br>
<br>
Review literature, data, prepare reports, and communicate experimental results to manager and in team meetings.<br>
<br>
Coordinate and execute on assigned tasks by interacting with multi-disciplinary teams<br>
<br>
Maintain and complete documentation of all experimental procedures and data, according to company guidelines.<br>
<br>
Perform other duties necessary to the smooth and safe functioning of the laboratory: follow safe work practices, ordering and maintaining laboratory supplies, equipment calibration, laboratory facility upkeep and preventative maintenance<br>

</u></b>PhD (or not more than 1 year of post doc experience) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, or other related fields<br>

Proven knowledge and experience in green chemistry using biobased materials such as biopolymers is highly desirable<br>

Prior experience in lipid and protein modification and derivatization is highly desirable<br>

Experience with physical and analytical chemistry techniques such as NMR, LC, MS, GC, FTIR, TGA, DSC, TLC is highly desirable<br>

Experience with laboratory informatics and statistical analysis software and systems<br>
<br>
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure on time delivery is highly desired.<br>

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and clearly understand SOPs and laboratory procedures<br>
