Dear Graduate Students,

Please be reminded that the 2025-2026 CUSP Scholar application is now open!

*Application deadline is January 15, 2026*

This program, funded by the UC-HSI Doctoral Diversity Initiative (UC-HSI
DDI)
<https://www.ucop.edu/graduate-studies/initiatives-outreach/uc-hsi-ddi.html>,
is designed for graduate students from underrepresented groups in STEM who
are interested in becoming future professors. By applying, you’ll gain
access to mentorship, career development resources, and networking
opportunities that will help shape your academic future.

*What is the CUSP Scholar Program?*
The program offers:
One-on-one mentorship from faculty members
Exclusive career development workshops and training
Opportunities to connect with a community of like-minded scholars
Funding to help you succeed in your journey to academia

*Who can apply?*
PhD students who have advanced to candidacy in CNAS, Biomedical Sciences,
or Bioengineering programs.
