[Allgsacstudents] Announcing New Leadership in the CNAS Enrollment Management & Graduate Student Affairs Centers

Dear CNAS Faculty, selected CNAS Graduate Students, and CNAS Leadership,

I am pleased to announce that effective today, Nikita McWells is appointed
as the new Assistant Dean for the CNAS Enrollment Management Center and
Graduate Student Affairs Center. Nikita is succeeding me in this role
and shadowing
me until my retirement at the end of June.  Please include her in any
communication you send to me.

Nikita brings over a decade of experience in higher education
administration across both the private and public sectors, supporting
both undergraduate
and graduate students. Over the past two years, she has successfully led
the CNAS Graduate Student Advising team in her role as Director,
demonstrating a deep commitment to student success, staff development, and
collaborative leadership. I have every confidence that she will continue to
elevate our work and advance the mission of CNAS.

While we prepare to recruit for the position Nikita is leaving, I am also
happy to share that Fidel Rivas will assume the role of Interim Director
for Graduate Student Advising while continuing to serve as our Employment
and Scholarship Manager, effective immediately. Fidel brings more than ten
years of higher education experience and has been a valued member of the
CNAS Graduate Student Affairs Center for over three years. His recent work
managing the Center’s employment and scholarship processes has made a
lasting impact, and I am grateful for his willingness to serve in this
expanded capacity during this time of transition.
