Bridge Scholars Program – For SACNAS Members!

Undergraduate and graduate students and SACNAS members … are you interested in furthering your career in the agronomic, crop, soil, and environmental sciences?

The 2023 SACNAS-ASA, CSSA, SSSA (American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, Soil Science Society of America) Bridge Scholars Program nominations are now open to students in the United States and US Territories.

The Bridge Scholars Program encourages scientific develop in our sciences through scholarship, networking, and professional development. The program is providing funding for up to eight SACNAS students who will be awarded:


  *   2023 ASA, CSSA, SSSA Annual Meeting<https://www.acsmeetings.org/> registration and abstract submission,
  *   Graduate Student Leadership Conference<https://www.acsmeetings.org/graduates> at the Annual Meeting,
  *   Hotel accommodation and up to $500 in travel funds,
  *   ASA, CSSA, and SSSA membership, and
  *   A year-long 1:1 mentor in your scientific focus area.

Learn More and Start Your Nomination by March 16 (final submissions due March 23). Bridge Scholar nominations are self-nominated and nominees will self-report diversity demographics as part of the process. Be sure to request a supporting letter from your advisor and have them upload it by March 23, 2023 (one letter required). Current membership in ASA, CSSA, or SSSA is not required.
