[Allgsacstudents] Two Symposiums sponsored by the UCR Center for Quantitative Modeling in Biology

The Southern California Theoretical Chemistry symposium – SoCal TheoChem –
is a yearly event bridging scientists in the field of theoretical chemistry in the
vibrant research area of southern California.
Each year, scientists in the field of theoretical and computational chemistry meet
on one of the University campuses of southern California to discuss the challenges
and perspectives in the field.

This year the Symposium will be held in honour and memory of Prof. Dimitrios
Morikis. In 2006, Prof. Morikis was a founding faculty member of the
UCR Department of Bioengineering and later became a faculty member
of the graduate program in Biomedical Sciences of the School of
Medicine and of the Institute for Integrative Genome Biology.
