Hello PhD students!


Applications are now open for the Fall 2021 Science to Policy Graduate Certificate Course!


UCR Science to Policy (S2P) is a campus-based organization that works to highlight and expand the roles of scientists in public policy. Over the 10-week evening/weekend course, grad students interact with policymakers and gain skills in science policy, education, advocacy, and communication to translate science into public policy or pivot to policy careers.


Application submissions for the Fall 2021 course have been extended to August 9th (application form: https://form.jotform.com/211576346215151). PhD students from across STEM fields are welcome to apply, including from the social sciences. Strong candidates from other programs would also be considered and are encouraged to apply.


The course structure is still being finalized, but we are currently restructuring the course to follow a hybrid format:

·        Monthly in-person weekend intensives (10-3pm)

o    October 23-24

o   November 6-7

o   December 4-5

·        Weekly virtual meetings 6-7pm on Wednesdays
