Dear CNAS Graduate Students,



The College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences is launching CUSP<https://cnasgrad.ucr.edu/cusp>, Career Mentoring of Underrepresented STEM Students for the Professoriate, a pilot project<https://news.ucr.edu/articles/2020/09/02/diversifying-sciences> funded by the UC-HSI Doctoral Diversity Initiative (UC-HSI DDI)<https://www.ucop.edu/graduate-studies/initiatives-outreach/uc-hsi-ddi.html>. This project will recruit three CNAS doctoral candidates in 2020 to participate in the following:



  *   One-one-one career development mentoring from a UCR faculty member
  *   $4000 stipend to support summer research
  *   Membership in SACNAS<https://www.sacnas.org/> and sponsored travel to the National Diversity in STEM Conference
  *   Participation in CUSP professional development workshops
