Dear Colleagues,
UCR is preparing a new NIH Institutional Biomedical Undergraduate Research
Training (BURT) grant application, with Ernest Martinez as the Primary
Principal Investigator. Participation in this program will help support *funded
undergraduate research opportunities*, including structured training and
mentored research experiences for undergraduate students.
If you are willing to be considered as participating faculty, please
complete the short form below. The form collects standard NIH-required
information (department, research area, and current/recent research
support) and takes approximately 10–15 minutes.

Separately, participating faculty will also need to submit an up-to-date *NIH
SciENcv biosketch*; additional details on biosketch requirements and
submission are included in the form.
We kindly ask that you please complete the form and biosketch by *February
6, 2026* (proposal submission deadline: February 25, 2026).
Please don't hesitate to contact me (sboba001 at ucr.edu) or Rebecca Brown (

Thank you for your time and for supporting undergraduate research training
at UCR.
Best regards,
