Dear Colleagues,

As a teacher and mentor, you play a critical role in our students' academic success, and your attendance at Commencement is very meaningful to them. I urge you to participate in our 2024 commencement and join our students and their families in celebrating this milestone occasion. Commencement will be held Friday, May 31 through Saturday, June 1, and Monday, June 17 through Tuesday, June 18.

The Graduate Division Hooding Ceremony for our Ph.D. and M.F.A. graduates will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 9:00 a.m. in the Student Recreation Center North gymnasium. If you are an advisor to a graduating Ph.D. or M.F.A. student, please plan to attend.  As you know, the hooding of graduates is a special capstone moment recognizing their arduous journey to the terminal degree in their field. Please register to attend Commencement and order rental regalia <https://myadv.ucr.edu/forms/faculty24> for the Graduate Division Hooding Ceremony through Monday, April 15, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. If you are unable to attend, please ensure that an appropriate designee will be present to hood your student(s).

All other Master's Degree graduates, Bachelor's Degree graduates, and Teacher Credential candidates will be recognized in the college/school ceremonies taking place at Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA.  Please plan to attend your college/school ceremony to support and congratulate our graduating students as they become our newest UCR alumni. Complimentary rental regalia will be provided for Administrative Party and faculty members who do not own their own. You may register to attend Commencement and order rental regalia<https://myadv.ucr.edu/forms/faculty24> through Monday, April 29 at 5:00 p.m.

If you would like to purchase a hood or full set of regalia from your doctoral institution for future Commencement ceremonies, they may be ordered through Oak Hall Cap and Gown<https://oakhalli.com/Custom-Made-Academic-Regalia/>.
