For graduate students (PhDs especially), fall quarter is the time when most fellowship applications must be submitted (both external and UCR-based). If you are in the research phase of your PhD or MA, you should be communicating with your major advisor about fellowships. I am also happy to meet you in my role as grad advisor. </div><div><br></div><div>My first goal in this email is to share with you the attached listing (PDF) of fellowships and grants offered by the UCR Graduate Division. There are PhD and MA opportunities listed. Please note: some deadlines are as early as October 17.</div><div><br></div><div>My second purpose is to make a request. Some fellowships require applicants to be nominated by their department. If something you are applying for requires a nomination, please email Iselda asap (no later than October 1), including the name of the fellowship, the funding institution, and the application/nomination due date. This includes all UCR dissertation fellowships. We need this information so that we can manage the nomination process at the department level. This is especially important if several of you plan to apply for the same thing, since may only be able to nominate a limited number of students for a given award. </div><div><br></div><div>Rest assured, the information you send to Iselda is for internal purposes only. We do not intend to share it or use it for anything other than managing our nomination process.</div><div><br></div><div>Thank you and see you soon.</div><div><br></div><div>Yours,</div><div>Jason</div><div><br></div><div> </div><div></div></div></div><div style="line-break:after-white-space"><div dir="auto" style="line-break:after-white-space"><div></div><div><br></div><div>
