[AHS-Grads] Fwd: Graduate Student Fellowships 2026–27

[Iselda Salgado]

Dear graduate students,

I am writing with information about upcoming fellowship opportunities
offered by UCR's Graduate Division. Please look over the attached PDF, *giving
special attention to the first two listed - Quarterlies & Dissertation
Completion Fellowship Award (DCFA) *- since they both have deadlines that
are just around the corner (October 16).

Many fellowship programs require departmental nomination, meaning that you
cannot apply as an individual. If this is the case for any of the awards
you are pursuing, please let Iselda know ASAP. We need this information so
that we can manage the nomination process at the department level. This is
especially important if several of you plan to apply for the same thing,
since we can only put forward a single applicant.

Next steps:

Review the PDF and consult with your advisor about which fellowships you
should pursue this year.

If you are moving forward with a fellowship that requires departmental
nomination, send Iselda:

   - Name of fellowship
   - Funding institution (with link)
   - Application date/nomination date

Submit application materials and letters of recommendation to department
(date TBD)

N.B. If you plan to apply for one of the Quarterlies or DCFA applications
listed on the PDF, please inform Iselda no later than *next Wednesday,
October 7 by noon.*

As always, you can address questions to Iselda and me as they come up.

Best,

Aleca
