Dear Fellow Graduate Students,

Happy Week 4!

We are nearly halfway through the fall quarter, and you have done a great
job getting here. As work deepens and the days grow cooler and darker,
please care for your mind and body. Make time to rest, recharge, stay
active, and connect with friends, even when things get busy. If you need
support, reach out to campus resources, faculty, or peers. Wishing you a
steady and healthy week ahead.

We have new resources, events, and opportunities to support you. Please
scroll for the latest and join when you can.

Sincerely,

Sushmita Joardar
Vice President of Public Relations

GSA VPEA Meets with UC President
Last week, GSA Vice President of External Affairs Gregory Hutchins, serving
as a Director on the UC Graduate and Professional Council (UCGPC), met at
the UC Office of the President Milliken in Oakland with colleagues from
across the UC system. The group discussed UC funding, graduate student
support during a challenging period, implementation of California
requirements related to disclosure of immigration enforcement actions on
campuses, UC policy regarding equipment purchases for UCPD, and safeguards
for disclosure of student information to federal agencies. The meeting was
productive, and Hutchins looks forward to building a strong working
relationship with the UC President’s office over the coming year.
