The Office of the Ombudsman is currently in the process of developing a
campus mediation training and peer-to-peer mediation program. <br>
<br>
<b><i>The event…<br>
</i></b> We are looking for students who may be interested in
participating in an introductory mediation training seminar on
<b><u>Friday, December 12<sup>th</sup>, 2008, from 8:30 am – 12:30
pm</u></b>. Each participant will be required to submit a brief
application as we have a limited number of spaces. All applicants
must be able to commit to the seminar date and time slot, as well as
complete a brief assessment following completion of the seminar. Light
refreshments and materials will be provided for all participants. <br>

<b><i>The opportunity…<br>
</i></b>This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill, peek into an
exciting and growing field, as well as engage with other members of the
UCR community. Proof of attendance will be provided for all participants,
so don't miss the opportunity to add this seminar to your resumes and
extra-curricular transcripts!<br>

<b><i>Who can apply?<br>
</i></b>All UCR graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to
apply. <b><u>Please submit all applications to the UCR Office of the
Ombudsman no later than Friday, November
15<sup>th</sup></b>.</u> Applications may be submitted in person at
the front desk, fax, or by email.<br>
