discovered that the server room air conditioning units in Hinderaker failed
over the weekend which resulted in the servers shutting down. The servers
have a built-in safety measure that causes them to shut down when the
temperature gets too warm in order to prevent data loss. While it was
extremely beneficial to the data, the server shut down did result in an outage
that affected all SharePoint, CMS, and web applications.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Trebuchet MS"><span style='font-size:
10.0pt;font-family:"Trebuchet MS"'>Physical Plant has been notified and
dispatched to assess and repair the air conditioning units in Hinderaker.
The Server Team was able to temporarily bring the temperature in the
server room down and bring the servers back online which resulted in the
restoration of all SharePoint, CMS, and web applications. However, further
outages may be experienced if the temperature in the room rises above a safe
level while Physical Plant is working to bring the air conditioning units back
online. Another update will be sent once all work has been completed.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
