If your schedule permits we would very much like to have you meet three
finalists we will be bringing to campus next week to interview for a new
Assistant Dean of Students position we have created in the division of
Student Affairs. The new position has been shaped to provide
leadership and vision for the division of student affairs and the campus
in transforming our campus culture to one that is more vibrant, active,
and engaging. <br><br>
The role of the new Assistant Dean is to develop and enhance
student learning beyond the classroom and improve the quality of life for
students; directly and through administrative, programmatic, supervisory,
and evaluative responsibility for three departments including:
Associated Students Program Board, Campus Activities and First Year
Programs, and Student Organization, Leadership, Advising and Resources;
and to will provide visionary leadership in the University's
efforts to provide more purposeful programs, activities and experiences
outside of the classroom for the benefit of the student body at the
University of California, Riverside. The Associate Dean will work
to cultivate a collaborative approach with other programming efforts and
already existing campus traditions and will build partnerships with
student organizations and units of the University whose missions include
the provision of various co-curricular programs as an extension of the
educational experience. <br><br>

<b><i>Brian Harke</i> -- Monday, September 18th - 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

</b>Brian earned his Master of Arts in Counseling/College Student
Services from St. Mary’s College of California and his Bachelor of Arts
from Washington University where he studied Advertising/Marketing
Communication. He currently serves as Dean of Student
Services at the California Culinary Academy. Brian started his
career in marketing and communications and brings rich experience from
John F. Kennedy University, LVMH Moet Hennessey Louis Vuitton and
Blink Marketing Communication. <br><br>
<b><i>Earic Peters </i>-- Wednesday, September 20th - 4:00 - 5:00
p.m., Costo A (adjacent to the Women's Resource Center)<br>
</b>Earic completed his M.Ed. inCollege Student Affairs Administration
and Bachelor of Arts at Azusa Pacific University. Earic has held a
series of progressively responsible positions at Occidental College
including Student Life Coordinator, Assistant Director of the
Multicultural Institute, and Assistant Dean of Students and currently
serves as Associate Dean Student Life & Co-Director Multicultural
Summer Institute. <br><br>
<b><i>Schonfeld, Natalie </b>--<b> </i>Friday, September 22nd - 11:30 -
12:30 p.m., Costo A <br>
</b>Natalie earned her Ph.D. from the Claremont Graduate School, Master
of Science from CSU Chico and Bachelor of Arts from Pomona
College. From 2000 to the present she has held the position
of Associate Director for Residential Life at UC Irvine and brings
programming experience through previous work at UCI as Programs
Coordinator and at Chapman University as Associate Director of Student
Activities and Organizations.<br><br>
