Australian Government restores 400-year-old Vat Nak Stupa

(KPL) Australian Government supports Lao government to restore the history and spiritual ground of the 400-year-old Vat Nak Stupa.
The Stupa was restored in coincide with the construction of the new Australia Embassy building, located at Thapalanxay village, at km 4, Thadeua Road.
The hand over ceremony of the history and spiritual ground of the 400-year-old Vat Nak Stupa was held yesterday, attended by Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Bosaikham Vongdala, Australian Ambassador to Laos Dr Michele Forster and the residents of Thapalanxay village.

Laos is constructing internal and international rail linkages

The rail line, Vientiane-Thakhek- Muda, is being given the highest priority status because it will eventually become part of the long Singapore-Kunming line and for Laos it will give her an export outlet, to Vu An harbour of Vietnam.
