The University of Wisconsin’s Center for Southeast Asian Studies invites outstanding scholars (PhD since 2000 preferred) in any field of the social sciences or humanities to apply for a post-doctoral appointment as a Thai Studies Associate Lecturer and Research Associate for the Spring 2009 semester (January 9 through May 24, 2009).  The successful candidate will teach one course or seminar with a focus on Thailand and in the field of the candidate’s academic specialization.  The seminar will be open to graduate students and upper division undergraduates.  The successful candidate will also be expected to produce scholarship in his or her field of expertise and to participate actively in the Center activities.  The University of Wisconsin-Madison has in place a dynamic and internationally-renowned Southeast Asian Studies faculty, committed to fostering important new research about Thai studies.
