Dear All,

A memorial service was held yesterday for Roxanna
Brown at ARI, Asia Research Institute, in Singapore at
4pm. Dr John Miksic, lifelong friend and colleague of
Roxanna's, and Dr Anthony Reid, one of Roxanna's
Dissertation Committee members, presided and gave
touching tributes to Roxanna. I happen to be here in
Singapore and was invited to attend. Many students and
scholars were in attendance as well. The entire NUS
community is still in shock. Incidentally, NUS is also
where Roxanna received her Master's degree so it was a
fitting location.
