     The Laotian Communities of the San Francisco Bay Area are planning the 2009 International Lao New Year Festival, to be held Saturday, April 11, 2009, in the City of San Francisco, California. The ILNYF will be held at the Civic Center Plaza in front of San Francisco City Hall, from 10 AM to about 5 PM, with a Night Reception to be held at another location. For information and updates go to www.LaoNewYear.com 
     The ILNYF is being organized by the Center for Lao Studies, the Lao Heritage Foundation, and the Lao American National Alliance (LANA).
If anyone wants to volunteer in the planning of the Festival, or would like to rent a booth at the Festival, contact Sirch Chanthyasack, Chairperson, at 415-680-4027 (Sprint cell PST).
