This blog by a The Nation editor describes the scrambling around to find a candidate for PM for in hilarious detail. If only it were a Keystone Cops film instead of the Thai governmental process!
 
Unfortunately the newer posts are at the bottom, not the top. Start reading on Dec 5 after Pojaman lands back in Thailand and even if you don't understand who's who or what's what, you can still get a sense of how insane this whole process has become.
