I call on the international Thai Studies community to publicly question
the appropriateness of the celebrations of the King's birthday on 4th-5th
December while the PAD, which is known to have received financial and
symbolic support from the Queen of Thailand, is effectively holding up to
300 000 foreigners hostage in Thailand by its armed seizure of Suwannaphum
and Don Mueang Airports.
