Reliable sources tell us that the reactionary Samak Sundaravej government is planning a bloody crackdown on the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) protestors, numbering in tens of thousands, who are occupying the Government House in Bangkok. At 5am, 27 May 2008, police forces, border patrols, and hired thugs are expected to lead this fascist assault, a violent assault not only on the protestors but also on the very notion of democracy. All peoples concerned about democracy and social change, about the very notion that it's not useless to revolt via civil disobedience or otherwise against a government that is no longer fit to govern, should forcefully denounce this brutal and dastardly attempt to return Thailand to the semi-fascist state of the 1970s.
